Rich Allcorn - cowboy at Rodeotown (Marble Falls TX)Welcome!

Allow me to introduce myself. I am Rich ...
I just love to say that, because God has promised me that I would be a wealthy man! My name is actually Richard, meaning "powerful ruler, bold, courageous", and my middle name is Alan, meaning "handsome, charming, with charisma". A few years ago, God told me He wanted me to go by Rich, to remind me of His promise in my life. A very dear friend of mine, Shari, also calls me Rich, as do most of my friends. So, God wanted me to go by Rich, so I go by that name ... Rich. Just remember it this way ...
"Rich", wealthy beyond measure!

So, welcome to my Home Page, the place where you come to find out something about me, my careers, and my family, and most importantly, what God is doing in me, and through my life. This is where you learn more about the man you see God creating, right before your very eyes, one-day-at-a-time!

You see, I am a creation of the Father! All that you see, in me, my talents, my abilities, and all the things I can do, are all a result of His Hand upon my life. And like the painting you see at the top of this page, the one of Him working on a picture of me? Well, God is not through with me yet!.. I am a "work-in-progress"!

I am one of those folks who is always seeking to learn more! I have always been interested in learning! I love the learning channel and the discovery channel on TV, and I enjoy reading books and magazines, exploring the world we live in, and more! I think in Proverbs somewhere we find where King Solomon says, "A wise man thirsts for knowledge".

Well, that's me! I am one who can sit down and converse with a scientist, an engineer, a doctor, or just about anyone! Whatever your career or interest, we have something to talk about. And as I look upon the different races of people in the Earth, I am amazed at how wonderfully different we all are! God made us that way! And each of us has a gift, a service, a "knack" for something that the other has a need for. Each race, and more importantly, each and every individual in life, has a special talent - a gift, that sets them apart from everyone else! That makes you unique! That makes you special! And, having the heart of a father, another gift from God, that fascinates me!

Through life, I have worked as a radio D.J., a newscaster and as a sportcaster. I have been a clerk, a farm equipment operator, a cattle rancher (cowboy), computer network admin and network designer. I have also worked as a realtor, a Nextel sales manager, writer and columnist, , pc repair tech, and I have even worked in construction! Sure, I can operate just about any piece of heavy equipment, and did so on alot of equipment in the military. I worked in communication and navigation electronics, intercoms, etc. and studied various forms of leadership. All of this time, I had no idea that God was training me for all of the things I would need to do the work of an apostle. There are many, many things, many skills that I have attained, that I now use, in ministry. And all the while I was learning all of these things, God also had me in His training plan for ministry! Check out my profile on "LinkedIn.com" sometime, and see for yourself! Also, see my business profile in "LinkedIn.com" as well.

Thanks to the things that God has deposited in my heart, and to the mind that he has given me to work with, I have enjoyed the taste of areas of knowledge that I never dreamed possible. Because of these various areas of interest and experience, I have found that people often want to hear me talk about it. I'm really not sure whether it's the stories, or the cowboy, or what, but they seem interested in what I have to say. I love to meet these folks and talk with them, and to get to share what I've learned in life ...

Here's a few items below, to get you thinking!

Changing Lives!
....by Rich Allcorn.....

Life is a gift! You are not guaranteed a full lifetime. Remember that! You have to fight for your life, for the quality of living that you desire, and for the style of life that you want. There are things out there that want to kill you! Cancer, heart conditions, diabetes, and many of which you can do something about! You cannot just sit back, though, and live the way you want to, and expect things not to happen to you, at some point. You have to take ownership of your life! Take charge of your future.

Below you will find a few tidbits of wisdom ... segments of things that I talk about, and teach, that change people's lives. Life is not complicated! And you have everything you need to make a difference in your life ... the decision is yours, and yours alone! No one can do it for you!

Life is a gift! Life is a gift! You are not guaranteed a full lifetime. Remember that! You could have a heart attack tomorrow? Have you lived a full life in the days you had already? Did you waste your time just trying to make a living and making ends meet? That's no life.

You have to fight for your life, for a quality of living, and for the style of life that you want. There are things out there that want to kill you, and mame you! Cancer, heart conditions, and such, are out to get you, and you have to make sure you beat them!

Sure, iIt takes work! It takes exercise, eating right, proper rest, and clean living. The dividends that it pays are priceless!

Life is all about change! My Father once told me that life is about change! I was complaining that things were always changing, never the same. He told me that if something is not changing, growing, and developing, it is "dead"! Wow! What a thought! He reminded me of the rivers we had on our ranch. When my brothers and I dammed them up one summer, the water began to grow cloudy and stagnant. It had ceased to flow, and go, and once it was cooped up it began to grow things in it ... NOT the things that you want to drink!

I learned from this! Life is all about change ... about growing, flowing, and developing ... into what you were created to become.

People are your best investment! People are your best investment! Your friends should be your most prized possessions! People make your environment ... where you work, where you live, and where you go to church.

In today's society, we've adapted to believe that "things" are what makes our lives complete. People are easily replaceable. We could never be more wrong!

The people around you are "priceless"! Treasure them! Spend time investing in the relationships you have. People are not numbers or resources, but opportunities to a better life! Cultivate these relationships, and you will build a better world!

You can change anything in your life! I've heard people say, "I don't matter to anyone." or maybe, "Nobody cares about me."

A friend of mine who teaches on wisdom once said, "Do not complain about that which you allow."

Everything you have to deal with in life can be changed, if you are willing to do what you need to do to change it! The secret to your success is hidden in something that you do, or don't do, daily!

You can make people like you, and you can make yourself a loveable person, and you can change your circumstances! But it won't happen for you if you just sit there and moan the blues! You have got to MAKE IT HAPPEN! Make things change!
It's up to nobody else but you!

But I had a heart attack! So did I. I remember sitting there in my home, I was working from home at the time, and I kept saying to myself, "I don't DO heart attacks!" But it just wouldn't go away.

I made up my mind that I was not going to accept defeat. I went to the E.R. and they did what they had to do. I went to REHAB, and set the goals to the highest they had available. Then when I graduated that, I signed up with Lifetime Fitness and began working out further! Through that, and lots of prayer, I eventually was told my my cardiologist, "There is no evidence that you ever had a heart attack!" My meds were reduced to almost nothing. Now I take a large regime of vitamins and supplements, and I exercise.

Why? Because I refuse to lose! And I won!

I'm a loser. The Bible teaches us that as a man thinks in his heart, so is he. This has been proven in science, it's not just a Bible principle. It is a proven fact - the "truth". Your words dictate what you are, what you do, and what you will become.

Do you "want" to be a loser? Then keep saying that and you will always be a loser. However, if you want to live the life you've only dreamed about then you are going to have to set down and decide what you want. Make a firm-and-quality decision that you are going to go for it, and then do it! Say it! And make it come to pass in your life! It is all up to you, and nobody else.

What you say, what you confess, actually speaks down into the innermost parts of your being. Your body, your mind, and even your spirit man, responds to your words! Use them wisely ...

You are a winner!
